I love how thoughtfully Disneyland celebrates Lunar New Year. Seeing characters like Mushu, Mulan, Donald Duck, and Mickey and Minnie dressed in beautiful traditional outfits—including Korean hanbok—made the park feel extra festive and special. It’s these cultural touches that make visiting during this time of year such a memorable experience.
Lunar New Year Parade
The Lunar New Year parade was short and sweet, bringing vibrant colors, festive music, and joyful performances to the park.
Chinese Caligraphy
Disney California Adventure also featured traditional calligraphy, where guests could have their names written in Chinese characters by a calligraphy artist. It was a beautiful and meaningful cultural touch, and the finished pieces made for special keepsakes from the celebration.
Sip and Savor
Lots of food to explore, but this was by far my favorite its trawberry milk tea macaroon.
Lunar New Year Merchandise
I always look forward to the Lunar New Year merchandise, especially the beautifully designed red envelopes to share with friends and family. This year’s Sip and Savor lanyard was equally impressive, featuring elegant details that made it feel like a piece worth keeping long after the celebration.
Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year celebration is filled with vibrant performances, beautiful cultural details, and festive moments throughout the park. If you haven’t experienced it yet, there’s still time, be sure to visit before it ends this weekend!
